Tube shapes
To make it easier for you to find the right tube size for your project we have labeled the tubes with "tall", "can" and "jar" to give you a better understanding of how the tube is shaped.
The volume of the tube is calculated based on the inner dimensions of the tube. This metric is found on the product page under customization. This section also includes information about the volume in milliliter (ml) that the tube can hold. The calculations are based on the inner dimensions using the cylinder volume formula (π * r²* h) where π or Pi = 3.14159265359, r² = (diameter/2)^2 and h = height. This information can be incredibly useful when selecting the appropriate tube size for your packaging needs.
Milliliter here means one milliliter of water, the density of water equals appx. 1 grams per milliliter. Keep in mind that the density of different liiquids vary. The average density for perfume or oil is for example 0.9 g/ml for perfume or oil. Therefore you might need to convert the milliliters to suit your product.
The table below can give you some guidance with examples of sizes suitable to pack different milliliter volumes.
For some products, such as dry foods, tea or coffee you might not know the exact volume in milliliters but rather in grams.
Mllliters can hwerver easily be converted t grams as long as you know the density of the product you want to pack. Coffee (grinded) and tea often have a density of 0.5 g/ml but this of course depends on the structure, humidity and style f your product. Therefore we recommend that you always start by properly measure your product before looking for the correct size.
Recommendation: Measure and weigh your product precisely to ensure that the packaging dimensions are appropriate for its needs. Measurements for dry goods
Weighing (for dry goods like coffee or tea): Use a digital scale to weigh the product in grams. Place the empty container on the scale, tare it to zero, then add the product to measure its weight accurately
Measuring Volume (for liquids like perfume or oils): Use a measuring cup or a graduated cylinder to measure the volume of the product in milliliters. Pour the product into the measuring cup or cylinder and read the measurement at eye level to ensure accuracy.
